BR 4-6-2 "New Zealand Line" Merchant Navy class locomotive with Pullman second class brake "Car No.62", Pullman first class parlour car "Rosemary" and Pullman second class kitchen "Car No.169"
The Southern Railway Board introduced the all Pullman "Bournemouth Belle" service between London, Waterloo and Southampton in 1931. The train was loaded initially with seven to ten Pullman cars, depending on the season, however during later days of the service, this number could have been as many as twelve!
With the changing times brought on by electrification the Bournemouth Belle service ceased in 1967, with the trian by that time being pulled by a diesel locomotive. Additional Pullman cars are available to enhance this Great British Train Pack.
